KLASJE CELJE, d.d. with its seat in Celje is a producer of bread, bread pastries, cookies, sweets, flour, milling products and pasta. It is a joint-stock company with 245 employees that became an independent company in 1989 when it separated from SOZD Merx. It already existed in 1958 as part of the company Veležitar as bakeries and mills of the Celje region merged into it.

Most of our 270 different products are sold in our home region where the company is present with the whole assortment of products. Klasje Celje is one of the biggest producers of bread in Slovenia. We produce approximately 3700 tons of bread every year and over 2400 tons of other bakery products along with 19.000 tons of flour and milling products.

With its own mill and five bakeries in Celje, Velenje, Laško, Hrastnik and Rogaška Slatina we supply our own retail chain consisting of nine units in Celje, Laško, Velenje and Slovenske Konjice along with all other big retail chains in Slovenia, caterers and smaller bakeries.

We in Klasje continuously upgrade our experience as bakers and fuse them with knowledge, tradition and modern technology. We make sure that our products are of good quality and healthy.

We respect traditional ways of acquiring baking goods and transform them into the needs and expectations of our customers in a modern way. Our gold medals for corn bread and black rustic bread prove that.

The company started a reorganization and improvement of financial state in 2001 under its new management. We are growing into a modern, well organized and dynamic bakery that is capable of motivating its customers into having new expectations. We know, that our long-term advantage lies in our mission and the devotion of our employees. We guarantee that we will meet the expectations of our customers, owners, employees and business partners.

We also introduced a project for changing our packaging, as we want to keep pace with the purchasing habits of the modern consumer, modern lifestyle and general directives of EU. This also contributes to the growth of the company towards a modern and dynamic bakery.

Quality of operations and mastering of processes are our key strategic directives. We maintain the system of quality by adhering to international standards for quality control ISO 9000:2000 and the introduction of the system HACCP in 2003. HACCP is a prevention system for control over factors that could endanger well being of men. This way we guarantee control over safety of our products and ingredients and their adequacy in light of healthcare.
